Creative Art Studio
Have you ever wanted to get creative with a group but may have different artistic interests and abilities? These differences can make it challenging to find a class your entire group will enjoy.
We have the solution! Our Creative Art Studio gives each person the ability to choose from a menu of various creative activities. Activities will be changed every three months as well as feature local makers throughout the year.
We accept walk-ins but recommend reservations to guarantee your group is able to secure a table.

Time
Each session is a maximum of two hours which begins at the times listed on the event calendar. End times are mandatory to allow us to prep for the next group. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start time. If you have reserved a time for your party and are not present at the start time, your table may be given to a walk-in group.

Activities
All activities will be described on our website for your review. However, this may be subject to change based on popularity. Each activity is self guided. All supplies and detailed instructions will be provided to ensure success. Activities will use a range of mediums and will be suitable for a variety of skill levels. However, the Creative Art Studio is only available to patrons 14 years of age or older. Minors less than 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Prepare
Some of the available activities can be messy! We recommend you wear appropriate clothing as we are not responsible for any stains or spills. The use of sharp objects like exacto knives and scissors may be required. If you struggle with dexterity, we recommend you choose a project that does not require these instruments. We are not responsible for any injury or accident that may occur. We have noted these activities to ensure your success!
Schedule
The Creative Art Studio will be open every Thursday and Friday as well as extended hours and a Saturday session once a month. Reference the calendar to confirm open dates as these will vary from month to month. Typical sessions are as follows.
Thursday: 10:00 AM, 12:30 PM, 3:00 PM, 6:00 PM
Friday: 10:00 AM, 12:30 PM, 3:00 PM, 6:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM, 12:30 PM
Our current capacity is 28 patrons for each session. Walk-ins are welcome but reservations are recommended to guarantee your group is able to obtain a table. Groups larger than six people may be seated at separate but adjacent tables. However, we will work to combine tables if possible.

The following options will be available. Please note that these are general descriptions of each menu option. The actual project under each of these sections change throughout the year so that you can continue to visit and expand your talents.
Journal Making
Enjoy making a journal from scratch using papers that align with your journaling style. Journals can be art, written or a combination depending on your preference. Create a journal to collect memories on your next trip or to store found leaves on your latest hike. The possibilities are endless. Gain the knowledge to make more journals on your own.
Journal Embellishments
Learn different ways to embellish your journal and add that special touch. You will learn how to make a variety of embellishments from pockets, tuck ins, tabs, belly bands, tags and more. We recommend you bring your journal along so you can add these elements as you create!
Painting Mediums
Explore the world of painting and try new mediums. The painting medium will change every three months between a variety of options like watercolor, acrylic, oil and more. There will be provided scenes and subject matters which may also include some mixed media aspects like stitching and texture.
Paper Collage
Create a masterpiece using a variety of different collage techniques and paper styles. We will change the template each quarter so you can continue to expand your portfolio. We will also add mixed media elements like stitching, texture, paint and more.
Textile Collage
Create a variety of different items using textile collage from totes, pouches, book sleeves and more. You will create different subjects from florals to landscapes using a variety of vintage fabric scraps. You can also add more detail by adding some stitched elements and beads.
Foil Quilling
Enhance a variety of items using a foil quill. This technique adds gold elements from personalization to florals on a variety of products like moleskin journals, bookmarks, wallets, wood and more. You can freehand your design or learn how to use templates.
Bookmark Making
Explore the world of bookmark making and learn a variety of different bookmark styles. Potential options include embroidery, textile collage, painting, elastic bookmarks, paperclip bookmarks and more.
Beads, Bits and Bobs
Create a variety of projects using beads and jewelry items from bracelets, necklaces, keychains, cellphone tassels, and more.
Book Nook
Create miniature scenes to be tucked between your books. Scenes will change from library, garden, streetscape and more. Have fun creating all the cute elements for each scene.
Miscellany
We will offer a varity of different creative options that have caught our eye. Projects can range from seasonal decor, wood burning, monoprinting, cyanotype and more.
Special Guest
We will be highlighting local makers and artists that would like to share their craft. The featured guest will create an activity and may be available for additional insight. Some may also have a pop up section in our store so you can shop additional items they have created.
